About the Client: 

Juniper Serra High School is a private high school located in San Mateo. The school is associated with the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

Project Description: 

Junipero Serra High School is currently underway with Phase 2 of the campus master plan. This phase includes the new Center for the Arts and Sciences building which includes state of the art biology, chemistry and physics labs as well as premier teaching space. In addition to the sciences the building will include expanded facilities for fine and performing arts, including a Music Rehearsal Hall and enlarged art rooms for 2-D and 3-D art. Also, a new competition swimming pool will be constructed.

Special Features and Challenges: 

Nova Partners provided team leadership through the design, preconstruction and construction phases. Nova assisted the School in preliminary cost models to help determine the appropriate budget and type of construction. Nova has worked very closely with the School through all phases from fundraising to contractor selection to construction. Nova also worked with the school to determine specific FF&E budgets and requirements along with the Audio Visual scope of work and telecom cabling. Nova is on site to assure the client they are getting a world class facility that will meet their needs for years to come.
