Fifteen minutes from the Monterey peninsula, Corral de Tierra Country Club boasts the sunniest and most comfortable year-round golfing weather of any club in the region.
This new 31,205 square foot facility consists of a new clubhouse and an integrated pro-shop and cart-storage building. The $8 million project included the demolition of the club’s existing facilities and the replacement of three one-story structures with two two-story structures extending one level below grade. The upper floor of the new clubhouse houses a new kitchen facility to serve the private dining space, a members’ grill with outdoor seating on a deck overlooking the course, two banquet rooms separated by operable partitions, and a nearby lounge for club members. The lower floor of the clubhouse houses locker/shower facilities, an exercise room, and a card room.
The existing golf course, swimming pool, and tennis courts needed to remain operational throughout the project. This required that Nova coordinate the installation of temporary facilities for the club’s staff and members as well as conduct a site logistics study to keep the temporary facilities operational during different phases of construction. Without an operable golf function, the project would likely have lost the support of the membership.
Nova Partners provided complete construction management services throughout this challenging project, including obtaining the required permits, managing the bidding processes, and managing the schedule and budget.
