Nova facilitated the selection of our winning project team. The RFP process for selection of the design architect, general contractor, and other consultants asked all the right questions to get the best players on board. Additionally, Nova prepared, negotiated, and executed all consultant contracts and managed them to ensure that Aspect received the best value possible from our investment. During construction, Nova coordinated the day-to-day activities of the architect, general contractor, and the multitude of other vendors. This was often a challenging task, as design was ongoing throughout construction. Throughout design and construction, Nova provided us with excellent cost controls, tracking, and reporting. The monthly budget updates were invaluable to the team in understanding the status of the project.

Aspect Communications is the world’s largest company focused solely on the contact center industry.
The Aspect Communications headquarters is an expansion of 110,000 square feet in a three-story building designed to enhance employee productivity. In addition to R&D and briefing spaces, the building includes both open and private offices featuring indirect lighting, as well as conference rooms, a sophisticated visitor center, a fitness area, and a full-service kitchen/cafeteria.
The project was designed as a “green” building and is especially sensitive to the environment. It is the first commercial building in San Jose to be built using a raised floor, which allows low-pressure ventilation to use natural convection to cool the building. In addition, the project includes openable windows, reflecting pools, and a courtyard.
Nova Partners was engaged as the development manager to assist Aspect in obtaining the development rights to build the project, and as the construction manager to lead the project through design and construction.
