Executive Team

  • Bob McIntire
    Bob McIntire

    Bob founded Nova Partners in 1993. He has a unique background, starting as a general contractor for Morse/Diesel and Aberthaw Construction. He then served as Senior Vice President at Sutter Hill, a Palo Alto real estate development company, creating JV's with New England Life and Met Life and developed business parks in Silicon Valley. He was Director of Development, Design & Construction for Apple, where he led the team to build the Cupertino headquarters and manufacturing facilities in both Sacramento and Cork, Ireland. At Nova Partners, Bob has managed many significant projects, including new headquarters for Altera, Aspect, Juniper, and Shaklee, as well as major projects for Adobe in San Jose and San Francisco, and for State Fund in Redding, Vacaville, and Pleasanton. He has managed the development, construction, and financing of over 15 million square feet of ground-up and renovated projects.

    Bob received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and an M.S. in Construction Management from Stanford University. He is a licensed general contractor and real estate broker in California.

  • David Marks
    David Marks

    David brings a diversity of construction management experience, ranging from microelectronic, manufacturing, and corporate headquarters to seismic upgrade and historic renovation projects. He has been responsible for managing some of the largest and most challenging projects in the Bay Area, including the historic renovation of Green Library at Stanford University, Altera Corporation headquarters in San Jose,  Cupertino Civic Center and Library, Belmont Library, multiple projects for UC Santa Cruz, including the Physical Sciences Building, new clubhouses for the Meadow Club and Tiburon Peninsula Club, as well as the new Marin Health & Wellness Center, Marin Emergency Operations Facility, Gilroy Library, and the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry.

    David Marks holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Arizona State University.

  • Dennis McCoy
    Dennis McCoy

    Dennis has a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in the industry for over 20 years.   He has lead design and construction teams for some of the most prestigious clients in the Bay Area on a wide variety of projects, from small-scale improvements to major ground-up corporate campus projects. Dennis has extensive experience with sophisticated dry labs, wet labs, sound and video labs, auditoria, cafeterias, theaters, parking structures, and general workplace environments for all types of clients, including healthcare facilities and their specialized OSHPD requirements. With this experience, Dennis has successfully managed major projects for Stanford University, Oracle, Clorox, ValleyCare Health System, Corral de Tierra, SPCA of Monterey County, UCSF, Cengage Learning, SLAC National Laboratory, and Dolby Laboratories.

    Bob Olson, P.E.

    Bob has extensive experience managing a wide array of projects — from museums, historic renovations, and corporate campuses to Class 1 cleanrooms, libraries, and electronics labs. The consistent commitment he brings to this broad spectrum of project challenges is to ensure customer satisfaction. Bob’s responsibilities have covered all aspects of construction management, from pre-construction through overall jobsite management. He has managed projects for such clients as Stanford University, Juniper Networks, Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club, Lake Merced Golf Club, State Compensation Insurance Fund, and Lawrence Livermore Labs.

    Bob Olson holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University and is a registered Civil Engineer.

  • Dennis Coonan, CPA
    Dennis Coonan, CPA

    Dennis has a strong background in finance and construction project accounting. At Nova, Dennis provides the financial project accounting services — detailed budgeting; financial analysis, including lease/buy assistance, cost tracking, and allocation; and funding and cash flow projections — to the firm's clients. Prior to joining Nova, Dennis was the controller of a $10M business, and spent five years in public accounting providing accounting, tax, and financial services for clients in a variety of industries. Dennis has provided project accounting services to clients, including State Compensation Insurance Fund, County of Monterey, and Castroville Library.

    Dennis Coonan holds a B.S. in Business from Santa Clara University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
