Nova Partners was hired as the construction manager on the 525 Market St. Lobby and Plaza renovation project located on Market Street in San Francisco. 525 Market Street is a 38-story modern high-rise building with over 1.1 million gross square feet. 525 Market Street is served by 20 elevators with ground-floor retail amenities and a below-grade parking garage.
The 525 Market renovation project includes a complete renovation to the existing building lobby and exterior entry facade along with the complete demolition and renovation of the existing lower and upper plaza between Market and Stevenson Streets.
The renovation project included working with Keating Architects to design and remodel the lobby and plaza of the building, the renovation project includes the replacement of part of the second-floor mezzanine to open up the lobby interior space. It also includes structural upgrades, demolition of the existing plaza and water feature, and installing stone and tile at both the upper and lower plazas, as well as the installation of a 27’ diameter acrylic water feature.
Nova’s role on the project included working with the owner, building management team, architect as well as the general contractor to deliver the project on time and within budget. Nova created the overall project budget, drove the design process, reviewed and approved all billings, and change orders, and provided continuous progress updates and milestone achievements to the owner. Nova also served as the liaison between the building management team and the general contractor to ensure the building tenants experience minimal disruption while the general contractor completed the project.
