Amgen has leased the entire North Tower of the Gateway of the Pacific Building 2 (GOP 2 North) in South San Francisco, CA.
GOP 2 is a key building in this state-of-the-art life science campus that BioMed Realty is developing.
Tenant improvement scope in this first-generation build includes designing and constructing approximately 241,000 square feet of laboratory and office space. This will be a LEED Silver and Fitwel Certified project. The construction of the tenant improvement will begin before the base building is complete. With Nova Partners managing the Amgen TI as well as the base building scope, the tenant initiated changes to the base building have been seamless and performed without impacting schedule.
BioMed Reality, as the building owner and landlord, will manage and deliver a turn-key facility for Amgen. The primary consulting firms for the TI are also working on the base building to facilitate coordinated efforts and capitalize on shared knowledge.
