About the Client: Morgan Hill is located in southern Santa Clara Valley. About 36,000 residents live in this community, which has a charming, small-town atmosphere.

Project Description: The project elements include 5 acres of site improvements and a 50 meter x 25 yard competition swimming pool, a 6-lane, 25-yard instruction pool, a 4,000 SF recreational pool with play structure, a 1,000 SF pool with slide, and an 800 SF play/spray ground. The competition pool includes both a one-meter and a three-meter diving board. In addition, the project included two buildings totaling 10,000 SF, which house locker rooms with showers, a concession stand, two event rooms, and a picnic area. The project features a number of “green” design elements, including vegetative shading, day-lighting, a rainwater collection system, and 25 percent use of recycled construction materials.

Nova Partners’ Role: The Nova role included complete design management from start to finish, and involved compliance with multiple jurisdictions, including the City Building Department and Health Department.
